Get FaceFit with Dermalogica

If you’ve read my blog for a while, you may know that I love Dermalogica, their products are targeted, active and straight to the point.

Recently, Dermalogica counters introduced a brilliant new service called FaceFit. These 10 minute targeted treatments are offered nation wide at Dermalogica counters and are a great way to spend time with a professional to talk about your skin concerns. These will only set you back a tiny $15 and are the perfect option for trying out new products, getting a professionals advice – and my favourite, event prep! Book one of these appointments before visiting another counter for makeup application next time you have an event and you’ll be guaranteed glowing, beautiful skin.

Recently I visited the Dermalogica counter in Smith & Caughey Queen Street and had a Detox FaceFit treatment. Head of Education at Dermalogica New Zealand, Caroline Parker (who is so wonderfully full of knowledge, it was great to pick her brain), gave me one of these amazing treatments featuring one of Dermalogica’s latest releases, the Daily Superfoliant, RRP $109.00.

A twist on the Daily Microfoliant, this innovative highly active powder re-surfacer was formulated to help our largest organ, the skin, to fight the pollution that we face everyday. Studies have found that pollution has a detrimental effect on our health and is extremely aging on the skin, causing brown spots, fine lines and uneven skin tone. There has even been a link made between exposure to air pollution and hyperpigmentation, fine dehydration lines, weakened skin structure and increased sensitivity*. The Daily Superfoliant is gentle enough for daily use but powerful enough to give immediate results. After the treatment my skin was visibly refreshed, glowing and rejuvenated.

The Daily Superfoliant is comprised of ingredients that absorb pollutants, inhibit adhesion of pollution particles to help preserve the skin’s youthful structure and of course offers exceptional resurfacing, the same resurfacing that made the Daily Microfoliant a global cult product.

Activated Binchotan Charcoal Powder (also referred to as “white charcoal”) which gives it the charcoal colour, attracts and binds itself to impurities in the skin, pulling them out of the pores. I have incorporated this into my skin routine, using it twice a week for a deep cleanse and exfoliation.

Another new release from Dermalogica is their new Stress Positive Eye Lift, RRP $115.00. This is an eye treatment and masque with a cooling massage applicator to help brighten tired eyes and reduce the visible signs of stress by energising the skin around the eyes.

The cooling massage applicator helps restore the skin barrier and visibly reduces the appearance of puffiness and dark circles, thanks to key ingredients Wild Indigo Seed, Artic Algae and Hyaluronic Acid. If you don’t know about my obsession with Hyaluronic Acid yet read my article here, The anti-aging magic of Hyaluronic Acid.

The eye treatment comes with instructions for the Dermalogica Eye Lift DIY, an exclusive 3-step massage technique using the massage applicator that cultivates an even brighter, more energised appearance. I’ve been trying this massage out each morning for the last week and it has helped with visibly reducing the puffiness around my eyes that we can all suffer from in the mornings! The massage will be helping to drain the lymph around the eyes which is a great step to incorporate into your beauty routine.

Dermalogica Stress Positive Eye Lift, 25ml, RRP $115.00.

Next time you have 10 minutes and have any skin concerns or are merely wanting a feel-good pick-me-up, visit your local Dermalogica counter for a FaceFit treatment. I can’t wait to try it out again before an event!
