My Winter Skin Saviour

There has been one product over the winter months that I’ve found myself reaching for everyday. When my friend was overseas and heading to Sephora, she asked me if she could pick me anything up. Not one to ever turn down that sort of opportunity, I got her to grab me the Bare Minerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream, as I had seen Teni Panosian use it in a couple of her YouTube videos and I was a wanting to break my Bare Minerals virginity.

The Complexion Rescue is a tinted moisturiser with SPF 30 and I got the colour Buttercream 03. I’m not much of a wearer of tinted moisturiser, apart from days where I’m off to the gym and don’t want to freak people out by my walking-dead person face. So admittedly I wasn’t even too sure why I initially wanted it. But when I got it and had a play around with it, I was immediately in love with the beautiful creamy formula.

It is a light yet creamy, luxurious, moisturising gel / cream (it’s called both) with SPF for protection. After googling the product, it is described as a “multi-tasking genius” and the “best of a BB, a CC, and a tinted moisturiser… with a 215% increase in skin hydration after just one week,* this is the whole new way to think about makeup” (Bare Minerals website).

Sounds impressive, right? Well it is! I am completely head over heels for this product. What I have been using it for (and I think I originally tried this from watching Teni Panosian), is mixing half Complexion Rescue with half my normal foundation. What I am left with is such a light, glowing, moisturising natural coverage. It stops my foundation from sticking to any dry skin, it gives it a dewy finish and is perfect for everyday wear when I don’t want to wear a full face.

I think this is one product that I will be attached to for a very long time. It also comes in ten beautiful colours and BareMinerals, I am so far extremely impressed and cannot wait to get my hands on more of your range. Watch Teni use it in her foundation routine here.
